The cottage was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the bay and island of Ulva. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I loved the cozy atmosphere and the well-equipped kitchen. Although it was remote, the peacefulness and seclusion added to the charm of the location. I enjoyed walking down to the rocky shoreline and even spotted eagles and a hedgehog during my stay! The garden was a perfect space for my four-legged friend. The only minor downsides were the lack of a welcome pack and some kitchen essentials such as a cheese grater and cling film. Nonetheless, these tiny suggestions didn't affect the overall enjoyment of my holiday. I would highly recommend Normanns Ruh in Ballygown and can't wait to return again next year. I had an unforgettable experience and would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.

Stayed at a beautiful little cottage with a lovely secluded garden and stunning views over the sea to the front and woodland to the rear. the location was perfect for a relaxing and quiet holiday. We had daily visitors including highland cattle, rabbits, and sheep, adding to the charm of our stay. the cottage was traditional and cozy, and the sunrise and sunset over the nearby islands were breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, including the Black beach, and were fortunate to spot wildlife, such as deer and a White-tailed eagle, thanks to a Nature Scotland wildlife tour. Cons: Nothing not to love about this idyllic location on the west coast of Mull. 😍.

This charming cottage offers a truly secluded retreat, surrounded by stunning views of the sea and woodland. With a peaceful ambiance, it's the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Guests have enjoyed observing wildlife such as highland cattle, rabbits, and sheep, adding to the tranquil atmosphere. the cottage is well-maintained and clean, with comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. the kitchen is equipped with basic necessities for self-catering, allowing guests to enjoy meals in the lovely garden.

The cottage's remote location means that the nearest shops are a few miles away, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

The location of this cottage is absolutely stunning, with outstanding views of the surrounding islands. You can enjoy breathtaking sunrises and sunsets right from the front garden. the cottage itself is very clean and comfortable, with spacious bedrooms and a well-equipped kitchen. the secluded garden is perfect for relaxing, and it's even pet-friendly. a delightful place to stay.

The nearest shops are a bit far away, so it would have been nice to have a welcome pack with some basic groceries upon arrival.

Fabulous location with stunning views of the surrounding islands and beautiful sunsets. Close proximity to great walking trails and a deserted beach. Abundance of wildlife including sheep in the garden and deer sightings. the accommodating staff provided great tips for spotting wildlife. the cottage itself is cozy and traditional, with comfortable bedding and lovely towels. the inclusion of a Christmas tree and decorations during the festive season was a delightful touch.

The cottage lacks certain kitchen necessities such as a teapot, milk jug, and additional cookware. Limited bathroom supplies, including only two toilet rolls for a six-day stay.

Free WIFI and mountain views, plus a garden and free parking. The washing machine was a lifesaver! Also, the lake views were stunning, perfect for sipping wine and pretending I'm in a romantic movie.

Oh, who needs a microwave or a welcome pack anyway? And let's not forget the luxury of only having 2 toilet rolls for a week!

We had the most incredible stay at Normanns Ruh in Ballygown. The cottage was absolutely gorgeous, with breathtaking views of Ulva and Gometra. We were able to witness stunning sunrises and sunsets right from the front garden. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a spacious bathroom. We loved how secluded the garden was, perfect for our furry friend. The kitchen was well-equipped, although a few additional items like a teapot, milk jug, and mixing bowl would have been helpful. Nonetheless, we enjoyed cooking our own meals there. The location of the cottage was ideal, close to Ulva and Calgary, and we also had the chance to go on a boat trip to Staffa. The caretakers of the property were friendly and had prepared everything for our arrival. our stay at Normanns Ruh exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for a wonderful holiday on Mull.
