The cottage was absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the bay and island of Ulva. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I loved the cozy atmosphere and the well-equipped kitchen. Although it was remote, the peacefulness and seclusion added to the charm of the location. I enjoyed walking down to the rocky shoreline and even spotted eagles and a hedgehog during my stay! The garden was a perfect space for my four-legged friend. The only minor downsides were the lack of a welcome pack and some kitchen essentials such as a cheese grater and cling film. Nonetheless, these tiny suggestions didn't affect the overall enjoyment of my holiday. I would highly recommend Normanns Ruh in Ballygown and can't wait to return again next year. I had an unforgettable experience and would definitely recommend this lovely cottage.

Stayed at a beautiful little cottage with a lovely secluded garden and stunning views over the sea to the front and woodland to the rear. the location was perfect for a relaxing and quiet holiday. We had daily visitors including highland cattle, rabbits, and sheep, adding to the charm of our stay. the cottage was traditional and cozy, and the sunrise and sunset over the nearby islands were breathtaking. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area, including the Black beach, and were fortunate to spot wildlife, such as deer and a White-tailed eagle, thanks to a Nature Scotland wildlife tour. Cons: Nothing not to love about this idyllic location on the west coast of Mull. 😍.

Free WIFI and mountain views, plus a garden and free parking. The washing machine was a lifesaver! Also, the lake views were stunning, perfect for sipping wine and pretending I'm in a romantic movie.
Oh, who needs a microwave or a welcome pack anyway? And let's not forget the luxury of only having 2 toilet rolls for a week!

We were able to witness stunning sunrises and sunsets right from the front garden. The cottage was clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a spacious bathroom. We loved how secluded the garden was, perfect for our furry friend. The kitchen was well-equipped, although a few additional items like a teapot, milk jug, and mixing bowl would have been helpful. The caretakers of the property were friendly and had prepared everything for our arrival. our stay at Normanns Ruh exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for a wonderful holiday on Mull.
